Aloha Daryl

Just a few feef fish & spotted mackeral pic. Nothing huge but the Gun is doing it's job well by feeding the family.
You should cruise over to Cairns in December for a 5 day trip to Holms reef 100km's off shore. Heaps of good reef fish and dog fish tuna.

Aloha Daryl

The weather finally broke and I made it out for a dive. The water is starting to clear offshore but is still minimal vis close in near rocks and islands. I got a brief glimps of a large palagic swimming off just below the surface so that was exciting. Maybe we will meet again next time out. I managed to get a Blubber Lips reef fish and a Baracuda as a warm up. The gun is excellent. I just aim naturally and let rip. The spear goes exactly where I aim. Having a bit of trouble with my setup process. The lead line is wrapping through the bungees when I shoot. I will work it out with a bit more use.I hope to have a worthy pic for you in the future. I also managed to survive being run down by a 40ft gin pallace that missed me by about 15ft. It was so close I got rolled over by the bow wake. The skipper missed seeing my large dive flag on my support boat, my 1m bright yellow float with flag and me waving my hands and gun in the air to attract his attention. Like I always say if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger or wises.

Have a great week and I can't wait to get back out there for another go.
