...I did end up getting out for the first time this year, however. We went out of Topsail Island, North Carolina last Wednesday and I shot the fish of lifetime! Our 100 lb scale bottomed out before we got it completely off the ground. We’re guessing it was somewhere between120-130 lbs. I only had the reel and I was able to stone it at 63’ and easily bring it up to the surface but once I got my hands on it that’s when she came alive and gave me the ride of my life haha.
